National IGSU Clean-Up Day 13-14 September 2024

On Friday September 13 and Saturday 14, the national Clean-Up Day will take place in Switzerland by the Swiss Competence Centre against Littering (IGSU), member of the Clean Europe Network. On these two days, local authorities, schools, community groups and companies join forces to clean-up public spaces, streets, meadows in over 650 clean-up campaigns.
The purpose is to set a lasting example against littering and to maintain a clean environment through voluntary clean-up activities. The national IGSU Clean-Up Day is part of the World Clean-Up Day which will take place on Friday 20 September 2024 in various places around the world (please see here for more information).
The Swiss initiative is supported by the Federal Office for the Environment FOEN, the Swiss Association for Communal Infrastructure (SVKI) and the Pusch Foundation. The date for the next national IGSU Clean-Up Day has already been set and it will be on September 19 and 20, 2025.
It's important to see our members leading these initiatives, demonstrating how large-scale clean-ups play a key role in reducing litter.
