Ixelles will launch a cleanliness plan to reduce litter

The municipality of Ixelles, located in Brussels, Belgium, has decided to launch the “Local Cleanliness Plan”, an initiative designed to actively engage residents with the primary goal of reducing litter. The municipal council has identified litter as a significant challenge for Ixelles, and they believe that addressing this issue will only be possible with the active participation of local citizens.
To kick off the plan, there will be a two-day public consultation where citizens, organized into working groups, can contribute their ideas and feedback. This consultation will take place on Saturday, March 22, and Monday, March 24. Notably, it emphasizes the shared responsibility of all stakeholders in combating litter and the importance of raising awareness about the issue.
